Abstract:
This project presents the development of a multi-layered bank locker security system using a Raspberry Pi, aimed at enhancing the security of valuable assets stored in bank lockers.
The system incorporates detection of an individual's presence and employs a three-step authentication process, including fingerprint verification, password entry, and One-Time Password (OTP) validation.
Upon detecting a person near the locker, the system initiates fingerprint authentication. If the fingerprint matches the registered data, the system proceeds to password verification.
A correct password entry triggers the generation and transmission of an OTP to the user's registered mobile number via a communication module.
Upon successful OTP verification, the system activates a mechanism to unlock the locker.
If authentication fails at any stage, an alert message is sent to the concerned authority, and an alarm is triggered to deter unauthorized access.
This project demonstrates a robust and cost-effective solution for securing bank lockers, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access and improving the overall security infrastructure.
