ABSTRACT:
Pregnancy is a critical phase in a woman's life, requiring continuous health monitoring to ensure the well-being of both the mother and the baby. This project presents a Women’s Pregnancy Safety Band, an IoT-based wearable device designed to monitor vital health parameters and assess stress levels in pregnant women. The system integrates a pulse sensor, blood pressure (BP) sensor, LCD display, Arduino Uno, and ESP32, with data visualization and alerts managed via the Blynk app.
The device continuously tracks heart rate, blood pressure, and heart rate variability (HRV) to determine stress levels. Based on predefined thresholds, stress is categorized into low, moderate, and high levels. If stress levels exceed a critical limit, the system triggers emergency notifications to caregivers through the Blynk platform. The LCD display provides real-time feedback on vital signs and stress conditions.
This innovative system ensures real-time monitoring, providing an early warning mechanism to prevent complications during pregnancy. By integrating IoT and health analytics, this wearable safety band offers a portable, cost-effective, and efficient solution to enhance maternal care and well-being.

The system integrates a pulse sensor, blood pressure (BP) sensor, LCD display, Arduino Uno, ESP32, and the Blynk app to provide real-time health data. The pulse and BP sensors continuously measure heart rate and blood pressure, while stress levels are analysed based on variations in these readings. The LCD display shows real-time data, and the ESP32 sends the information to the Blynk app, allowing remote monitoring by caregivers and healthcare providers.
If abnormal stress levels or vital sign fluctuations are detected, the system triggers an alert via a buzzer and sends notifications through the Blynk app. This ensures timely medical attention and enhances the safety of pregnant women.
This project offers an affordable, user-friendly, and effective solution for pregnancy health monitoring, providing peace of mind for both expectant mothers and their families.
