The growing problem of traffic congestion necessitates innovative solutions for dynamic traffic management. This paper presents a Movable Divider System aimed at optimizing traffic flow and providing emergency vehicle passage through real-time adjustments. The system operates through two primary control methods. The first method uses infrared (IR) sensors to detect vehicle density on both sides of the divider, where four IR sensors (two per side) continuously monitor traffic density. Based on the sensor inputs, the divider automatically shifts towards the side with lower density, facilitating smoother traffic flow. Additionally, red and green indicator lights provide real-time visual feedback on vehicle density. The second method involves manual control via the Blynk application, enabling the divider to prioritize emergency vehicles such as ambulances, ensuring quick and safe passage. The system is controlled by an ESP8266 microcontroller, which interfaces with the sensors and motor driver responsible for controlling the divider's movement. This dual-method approach ensures flexibility in both routine traffic management and emergency response. The implementation details, performance analysis, and real-world applicability of the system are discussed in this paper.
