ABSTRACT
The Boost DC-DC converter is a converter where the output voltage is greater than the input voltage. The paper presents the relation between the simulation modeling approaches. First, we define the converter design parameters and give their equation. At the end we compared and discussed the obtained results for the dc-dc converter.
INTRODUCTION
DC-DC converters are widely used for traction motors control in electronic cars, carts, marine cranes, forklifts, and tractors. They deliver glossy speeding up control, high efficiency, and fast dynamic response. DC converters can be used as switching mode regulators for converting an unregulated DC voltage into a regulated DC output voltage. Regulation is normally reached by pulse width modulation at a specified frequency and the switching driver can be BJT, MOSFET or IGBT. There exist four switching-mode converter topologies:
• Buck converter
• Boost converter
• Buck-boost converter
• Cuk,
Sepic and Zeta converter.
