Abstract:

This project is aimed at developing an online leave management system that is of importance to either an organisation. The Leave Management System (LMS) is an Intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the organisation or a specified group/Dept.

This system can be used to automate the workflow of leave applications and their approvals. The periodic crediting of leave is also automated. There are features like message notifications, approval of leave, report generators etc in this system.

Leave Management application will reduce paper work and maintains record in more efficient way.

Proposed System

In proposed system chances of losing data is not possible because data is maintained in the form of database. Every day attendance, leaves and notices information is updated in to database using a user friendly GUI. This will reduce work for HR departments.

This application is an online application which makes more flexible to access information. The development of the new system contains the following activities, which try to automate the entire process keeping in view of the database integration approach.

1. User friendliness is provided in the application with various controls.
2. The system makes the overall project management much easier and flexible.
3. There is no risk of data mismanagement at any level while the project development is under process.
4. It provides high level of security with different level of authentication.
