Abstract:

The Hospital Management System is designed for any hospital to replace their existing manual paper based system. The project Hospital Management system includes registration of patients, storing their details into the system, and also computerized billing in the pharmacy, and labs. The purpose of the project entitled as “Hospital Management System” is to computerize the Front Office Management of Hospital to develop software which is user friendly simple, fast, and cost – effective.

The new system is to control the information of patients, and patient discharge billing details, doctors. We have designed the given proposed system in the django to automate the process of day to day activities of Hospital like, Admission of New Patient, Discharge of Patient, Assign a Doctor, and finally compute the bill etc., All the control is under the administrator and the other members have the rights to just see the records not to change any transaction or entry. These services are to be provided in an efficient, cost effective manner, with the goal of reducing the time and resources currently required for such tasks.

Hospital Management System provides the benefits of streamlined operations, enhanced administration & control, superior patient care, strict cost control and improved profitability.
The software has the facility to give a unique id for every patient and stores the details of every patient and the staff automatically. It deals with the collection of patient’s information, diagnosis details, etc. Traditionally, it was done manually. It includes a search facility to know the current status of each room. User can search availability of a doctor and the details of a patient using the id.

The main function of the system is register and store patient details and doctor details and retrieves these details as and when required. . The manual handling of the record is time consuming and highly prone to error. Hospital Management System is powerful, flexible, and easy to use. The Hospital Management System can be entered using a username and password. To improve the performance of the hospital management system, the computerized hospital management system is to be undertaken. It is accessible either by an administrator or receptionist. Only they can add data into the database.

The data can be retrieved easily. Hospital Management System is designed for multi-specialty hospitals, to cover a wide range of hospital administration and management processes. The computerized hospital project is fully computerized and user friendly even that any of the hospital’s members can see the patient’s report and the doctor’s report. It is an integrated end-to-end Hospital Management System that provides relevant information across the hospital to support effective decision making for patient care, hospital administration and critical financial accounting, in a seamless flow.

Users:
1. Admin

Admin:
1. Signup their account. Then Login
2. Can register/view/approve/reject/delete doctor (approve those doctor who applied for job in their hospital).
3. Can admit/view/approve/reject/discharge patient (discharge patient when treatment is done).
4. Can Generate/Download Invoice pdf (Generate Invoice according to medicine cost, room charge, doctor charge and other charge).
5. Can view/book/approve Appointment (approve those appointments which are requested by patient).

Doctor:

1. Apply for job in hospital. Then Login (Approval required by hospital admin, Then only doctor can login).
2. Can only view their patient details (symptoms, name, mobile ) assigned to that doctor by admin.
3. Can view their discharged(by admin) patient list.
4. Can view their Appointments, booked by admin.
5. Can delete their Appointment, when doctor attended their appointment.

Patient:

1. Apply for job in hospital. Then Login (Approval required by hospital admin, Then only doctor can login).
2. Can only view their patient details (symptoms, name, mobile ) assigned to that doctor by admin.
3. Can view their discharged(by admin) patient list.
4. Can view their Appointments, booked by admin.
5. Can delete their Appointment, when doctor attended their appointment.
