Modern urban environments demand smarter traffic management, especially for emergency vehicles. Vehicle-Infrastructure Interaction (V2I) enables real-time communication between vehicles and infrastructure to enhance road safety and reduce congestion. By integrating geofencing, this project introduces a proactive solution where virtual boundaries trigger actions like adjusting traffic signals when an emergency vehicle approaches. To address this, the integration of geofencing into V2I systems introduces a powerful and proactive solution. Geofencing establishes virtual perimeters around geographic areas, allowing the system to trigger specific actions, such as adjusting traffic signals or alerting nearby vehicles when an emergency vehicle approaches. This technology enables dynamic traffic control that adapts to the real-time location of the vehicle, ensuring optimized traffic flow and reducing response times. The system uses geofencing and V2I communication to dynamically manage traffic flow, ensuring uninterrupted routes for emergency vehicles. This approach improves emergency response times and enhances traffic safety, contributing to smarter, more efficient urban traffic systems.

INTRODUCTION:
In today's rapidly urbanizing world, road traffic congestion has become a major challenge, particularly in densely populated cities. One of the critical issues faced in such traffic scenarios is the delay in the movement of emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire brigades, and police units. These delays can result in loss of life, property, and public safety. To mitigate this issue, a smart and efficient system is essential to provide emergency vehicles with a seamless path through traffic intersections.
The Emergency Vehicle Traffic Signals Management System (EVTMS) is a novel solution that utilizes Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication technology to enable real-time coordination between emergency vehicles and traffic signal controllers. When an emergency vehicle approaches an intersection, the system detects its presence using wireless communication (such as RF, GPS, or IoT modules) and sends a signal to the traffic light controller to prioritize the vehicle by turning the signal green in its direction.
The system operates in real time and ensures that all conflicting directions at the intersection are halted temporarily to allow the emergency vehicle a clear and safe passage. This dynamic signal manipulation significantly reduces response times and enhances the overall efficiency of emergency services.
