Administrators can manage products, categories, stock details, customer information, and sales reports using an admin dashboard. The project is developed using Python with the Flask framework for backend development and SQLite for database management. Frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript are used to design responsive and interactive web pages. The system implements secure authentication using password hashing and session management techniques. The application automatically updates stock quantities after order placement, improving inventory management accuracy. The centralized database structure helps maintain organized records of customers, products, and orders efficiently. The project follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for systematic planning, design, development, testing, and deployment. INTRODUCTION
The rapid growth of internet technology and digital commerce has significantly transformed the way businesses operate in modern society. Online shopping systems have become an essential part of daily life because they provide customers with the convenience of purchasing products anytime and from anywhere. E-commerce applications help businesses improve customer reach, reduce manual workload, and automate business operations efficiently. In recent years, sports equipment businesses have also started adopting digital platforms to improve product management, customer service, and sales operations. Traditional sports shops generally depend on manual processes for maintaining stock records, customer details, billing operations, and order management. These manual methods consume more time, require additional workforce, and increase the possibility of human errors. Customers are required to physically visit stores to purchase products, check availability, and make payments, which reduces convenience and accessibility. Manual billing systems may also lead to incorrect calculations and delays during busy business hours. Inventory management becomes difficult because stock updates are not maintained automatically after each sale.
