The backend system, developed using PHP and MySQL, processes and stores the incoming location data efficiently. The integration of Google Maps enables accurate visualization of the dog’s current position as well as its movement history.

INTRODUCTION
In today’s world, pet safety has become a significant concern for pet owners due to the increasing number of cases where pets go missing or wander away. Traditional tracking methods, such as manual searching or identification tags, are not effective in providing real-time location information. To address this issue, a smart and efficient solution is required that enables continuous monitoring of pets.
The Dog Tracking System is an IoT-based application developed to provide real-time tracking of dogs using GPS technology. In this system, a GPS module connected to a microcontroller such as ESP32 or ESP8266 is attached to the dog. The device captures the geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) and transmits the data to a cloud-based server through HTTP API requests.
The backend system, built using PHP and MySQL, processes and stores the received data securely. A web-based interface allows users to access real-time location information, view the movement history of their pets, and manage multiple tracking devices efficiently. Integration with Google Maps further enhances the system by providing accurate and user-friendly visualization of the pet’s location.
