Vehicle Service Management System

Abstract:

This Vehicle Service Management System provides customers for their vehicle services various problems. If customer got any problem with his/her vehicles they can reach to this website and request for the services.

The work flow of this applications is first customer will visit to website and if the customer is new then application ask customer to register by providing their details like first name, last name, username, mobile number, password, address and profile picture. After registering the data will be stored in the back end database. After successful registration customer can login to the system and make vehicle service request to admin. To make the service request customer need to provide details about their vehicle such as vehicle name, model, brand, vehicle number, need to select type of vehicle like two wheeler or four wheeler. After successful filling the form data he/she clicks on the submit button.

All the request made by the customer will be showed in the admin dashboard, once the admin is verified details about the customer and vehicle admin have the options to accept the customer request or reject or delete the customer request. Once admin is accepted customer service request he assign that work to mechanics. Mechanics is one who works for admin and admin will hire for the mechanics to take care about the customer vehicle services.

Mechanics will update the work status to the customer and admin and even mechanic will change the status of the work. Based on the mechanics work status admin will update their vehicle service status.

Users:

Customer:

1. customer will sign up and login into system
2. Customer can make request for service of their vehicle by providing details (vehicle number, model, problem description etc.)
3. After Request approved by admin, customer can check cost, status of service
4. customer can delete request (Enquiry) if customer change their mind or not approved by admin (Only Pending Request Can Be Deleted )
5. customer can check status of Request(Enquiry) that is Pending, Approved, Repairing, Repairing Done, Released
6. customer can check invoice details or repaired vehicles
7. customer can send feedback to admin
8. customer can see/edit their profile

Mechanics:

1. Mechanic will apply for job by providing details like (skills, address, mobile etc.)
2. Admin will hire(approve) mechanic account based on skill
3. After account approval, mechanic can login into system
4. mechanic can see how many work (vehicles to repair) is assigned to me
5. mechanic can change status of service ('Repairing', 'Repairing Done') according to work progress
6. mechanic can see salary and how many vehicles he/she have repaired so far
7. mechanic can send feedback to admin
8. mechanic can see/edit their profile

Admin:

• First admin will login ( for username/password run following command in cmd )
python manage.py createsuperuser user_name
• Give username, email, password and your admin account will be created.
• After login , admin can see how many customer, mechanic, recent service orders on dashboard
• Admin can see/add/update/delete customers
• Admin can see each customer invoice (if two request made by same customer it will show total sum of both request)
• Admin can see/add/update/delete mechanics
• Admin can approve(hire) mechanics (requested by mechanic) based on their skills
• Admin can see/update mechanic salary
• Admin can see/update/delete request/enquiry for service sent by customer
• Admin can also make request for service (suppose customer directly reached to service center/office)
• Admin can approve request for service made by customer and assign to mechanic for repairing and will provide cost according to problem description
• Admin can see all service cost of request (both approved and pending)
• Admin can see feedbacks sent by customer/mechanic

Other Features:
• we can change theme of website day(white) and night(black)
• if customer is deleted by admin then their request(Enquiry) will be deleted automatically
