Abstract:

Coconut water is a refreshing natural drink, low in calories and fat, rich in minerals, vitamins. The nutritional and therapeutic value of tender coconut water has resulted in increased consumption and demand globally. In the present scenario, preservation, and processing is of prime importance to meet the global demand for coconut water throughout the year. The aim of our project is to implement development of image processing alogrithm for it has detect wheather it is a tender coconut or not once it is detected it has to estimate water volume based on external image features of tender coconut

Objectives:

This study was aimed to Distinguish between the non-tender coconut and tender coconut. Estimation of water volume in coconut. Shape and size of coconut using image processing. Coconut farming is most profitable cash crop farming ventures that can give good investment for the farmer because by knowing the volume of coconut so farmer can sell the coconut in cost retail price.
